Orders will be shipped in 2-3 business days. Packages are generally put in the mail on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but occasionally go out on other days of the week.

Shipping timelines listed at checkout are estimates by the carrier and we cannot guarantee those timelines.

We want customers to be completely happy with their Grubcan purchase! If you decide it’s not the right bear canister for you, we will happily accept returns of unused Grubcans within 30 days or purchase. Items that have obvious signs of wear or are returned in poor condition may be issued a partial refund or no refund.

We are constantly looking to improve our product, so if you return a Grubcan, we’d love to know what led to that decision. We are in the business of protecting wildlife and want to make it as easy as possible for adventurers to explore the wilds responsibly. Thank you!

Our Grubcan rental program is completely booked during much of backpacking season, and we often have to turn customers away because rentals aren’t available. Therefore, we keep as many rentals available as possible and we only refund some rental cancellations. Please read the policy below.

If you have paid for a rental, you can cancel your rental for a full refund up to 30 days before the date that you requested the rental arrive to you. If you cancel the rental within 30 days of that date, you will only be refunded your shipping and half of the trail days of your reservation.

If you cancel your reservation after the rental has already been shipped to you, you will not receive a refund. It is your responsibility to understand how you pack and the other gear you are using. If you receive the rental canister and find it is too small or too large for your needs, you will not receive a refund. We are happy to help you decide what kind of canister is right for you and your trip before your reservation, just email us any questions you have!
